ALERT: Please Note! - Support for Kaltura CaptureSpace Lite ended on May 10, 2019.
Introduction
Since May 10, 2019, users were no longer able to upload video captured with the application into My Media within Blackboard.
If you still have recordings in your CaptureSpace Lite library it is possible to recover these video files. After recovery, you will have to upload them to My Media manually.
Recovering video from Kaltura CaptureSpace Desktop Recorder - macOS
Step 1:
Open Kaltura CaptureSpace Desktop Recorder

Step 2:
Select the Settings tab

Highlight the Local File Storage Location field and copy it to the clipboard

Step 3:
In the Finder (your desktop) using the Go menu select Go to Folder …

Now paste the Local File Storage Location into the dialog box…
Press the Go button

Step 4:
You will be brought to the place where your files are stored.
Copy your video files (.mp4) to a safe location.
You can safely ignore the .jpeg file.

You can now safely delete Kaltura CaptureSpace Desktop Recorder.
Recovering video from Kaltura CaptureSpace Desktop Recorder - Windows
Step 1:
Open Kaltura CaptureSpace Desktop Recorder

Step 2:
Select the Settings tab
Highlight the Local Media File Storage field and copy it to the clipboard

Step 3:
In Windows Explorer (your desktop)…
Paste the clipboard with Local Media File Storage into the the search box.
Click on the search file path revealed by your search …

You will be brought to the directory with your media files …

Finally, open the directory of the highlighted directory to discover your video files …
Step 4:
Copy your video files (.mp4) to a safe location.
You can safely ignore the .jpeg file.

You can now safely delete Kaltura CaptureSpace Desktop Recorder.
