Zoom: Share and play video files directly into meeting

“The Video option under Advanced share options will allow you to choose a video file, which will be opened by Zoom and played in the meeting as shared content. Host has typical video player controls (pause/ play, volume control, full screen, video length/elapsed time), which are not seen by other participants during share. 1. You want to make sure that your Zoom desktop client’s version is 5.5.0 or higher. (Please refer to https://support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362233-Upgrade-update-to-the-latest-version to learn how to download and update your desktop client to the latest version.)

2. In your Zoom meeting, click “Share Screen” along the meeting toolbar.

3. Click the “Advanced” tab.

4. Click the “Video” thumbnail and then click “Share”.

5. You will need to select your video file which is located on your computer and the click “Open”.

6. The Video player will open where you will be able to play, pause and stop the video. “Host has typical video player controls (pause/ play, volume control, full screen, video length/elapsed time), which are not seen by other participants during share.
