Associating a Rubric with Assignments, Tests, or Discussions

Note: For discussions, you must first enable grading before you can associate a rubric. For assignments and tests, you must associate a rubric before adding questions.

1. Open the assignment, test, or discussion and click the settings icon to the right:

To open assignment settings, click on the gear icon to the right of Assignment Settings section.

2. Select “Add grading rubric” under “Additional Tools”:

Below the Additional Tools section the Add grading rubric blue text is being selected. There are other options listed which are Time limit and Goals & standards.

3. Click “View” to review the rubric or “Add” to attach it. You may also select the checkbox to use the rubric’s possible points as the points for the assignment:

In the Add Grading Rubric panel, you will need to click add to the right of the existing rubric.

4. Select “Save” in the settings panel to associate the rubric with the assignment:
