Granting Assessment Exceptions

This article will show you can give a specific access to an assessment on a different day and time along with additional attempt(s).

Click on the assessment's title.

The left red down arrow is pointing to the test's title New Test 9/26/23.

Click "Submissions" to access the submission page.

Within the New Test 9/26/23, the right red arrow is pointing to the Submission tab.

Click the three dots to the right of the student that you want to provide an exception for and then select "Add or edit exceptions".

If you are looking to give a different time to take the assessment,

The show on checkbox is select with a black checkmark within a solid green checkbox. The date is selected to 9/26/23 and time is set to 1:15 PM. The Hide after checkbox is select with a black checkmark within a solid green checkbox. The date is set to 9/26/23 and the time is set to 1:45 PM.

If you are looking to provide the student an additional attempt, click the down arrow and select a number between 2 - 10 or unlimited. 

For the attempts the attempt is set to 1.

Click "Save". 

To the right of the student's name you will see an icon that looks like a mini clock. 

Back on the assessment submissions page, you will see the 

When you place your mouse of it it will say "Release conditions applied" if you provided the student with a new Show on and Hide on dates/times. If you provided an additional attempt, it will say "New attempts allowed". If you provided both a new Show on and Hide on dates/times along with additional attempt(s), you will see both.
