Progress Tracking Students on a Course Content Item

Summary

This article will you how to track your progress while you review and complete work in the course. Progress tracking allows you to track your course progress related to your course content, assignments, and tests. Review your progress on the Course Content page beside the item name. The item’s progress status displays within a circle.

The following steps apply to course content items which do not require submissions from students, such as learning modules, folders, and links:

1. From the Course Content page, click the ellipsis next to the item:

2. Select “Student Progress” from the dropdown menu:

3. The Student Progress tab will show an overall Progress Summary for the content item:

4. The “Progress Status” column provides detailed timestamps for individual students:

5. Use search bar to search for individual students:

6. Use the “Progress Status” dropdown menu to filter results by completion status:

7. You also have the option to select students from the list and click “Message” to the right if you would like to send a message to students who have not opened the content item:
