Viewing students attempts during the test

This article will show you how you can access a particular student's attempt while the student is taking the test. You will be able to see if the student has started the test and which questions the student has completed so far.

1 - From the top navigation bar, click Gradebook.

2 - Do the following:

• Click Gradable Items.
• Click the title of your test.

3 - To see a visual display on which students have started taking the test, click Student Activity.

4 - Scroll down and you will see a list of all of your students.

If you see just a light gray bar without any blue shade at the end of the bar, then it means that the student started the test, but has not answered any questions yet.

If you see the blue fill and (1 in draft) then the student has answered at least one question in the test.

A - the blue fill at the end of the bar indicates that student started the test.

B - (1 in  draft) indicates that the student started to answer the test questions.

5 - To see which questions the student has completed, click Submissions tab.

6 - Click the three dots to the right of the student that as a Draft Saved.  (Note: Draft Saved means that the student started the test.)

7 - Click Attempt Log.

8 - This page will show you which question(s) the student has completed so far.
