Introduction
This document provides guidance on software installations in academic computer lab facilities. Please note that our Software Matrix below is a work-in-progress.
List of Computer Labs/Facilities
As of Fall 2025, the following computer labs are operational.
Open/Walk-In
Adams Library 3rd floor reference area offers a large number of Dell and Apple workstations that are available to RIC students and employees during library operating hours. User Support services provides monitoring and support of the workstations at the Adams Library Support Desk. Pay-for-print services are available.

Reserved Instructional Computer Labs
The following locations are reserved computer labs. These facilities are used for scheduled classes. If you wish to use a computer lab for an entire semester, please contact the Office of the Registrar and they will work with you to have your scheduled in an academic computer lab. When classes are not scheduled in computer labs, they are available for individual engagements by reserving using RIC Rooms or contacting the Office of College Events and Engagement with appropriate approvals. RIC ITS/USS does not reserve computer labs for classes or events.
Please Note: In the table below, for workstation counts, the first number indicates the number of student workstations, the second number indicates an instructor station or podium computer.
