What is the difference between Express Capture and Kaltura Capture?

 

Express Capture   

Kaltura Express Capture MENU ITEM

  • Can only record the web camera and or microphone (up to 15 minutes)
  • Does not need a software download
  • Does not record the screen
  • Does NOT work with Safari or iOS
  • Works on Android phones
  • Downloaded files are in .webm format

 

Kaltura Capture

Kaltura Personal Capture MENU ITEM

  • Can record the desktop (or two)
  • Supports two video sources
  • Can record Picture-in-Picture
  • Has tools to annotate the video
  • The Mac version doesn't support System Audio
  • Always launch from within Blackboard
