Adding A YouTube Video In A New or Existing Blackboard Document
YouTube videos can no longer be added to a Blackboard course using Kaltura, but instructors can still add YouTube videos to their course content pages via two different methods.

Adding A YouTube Video In A New or Existing Blackboard Document
1. If you are creating a new Blackboard document, to begin, click the plus sign and choose Create. If you are adding a YouTube to an existing document, just go to that document and skip to step 4 below.

3. Then choose the Document option in the Create Item menu.

4. To add a YouTube video, click on the Content option.

5. From here you will click on the plus sign to the right of the content menu page and choose YouTube video. This will work the same way if you are adding a YouTube video to an already existing Blackboard document.

6. From here you can either search for a YouTube video, or, if you know the name of the video, type that into the search box. Once you do that, you will see a list of options. See example below. When you have found the correct video, click the Select button.

7. You can choose to have your video appear as a link, or it will appear inline with the thumbnail displayed like you would normally see on YouTube. Then click on Insert.
8. Below is how your YouTube video will appear when the inline option is chosen.

9. You can add content above or below your video as you would with any content in a Blackboard document page. Be sure to save your YouTube video.
