Ultra - Lockdown Browser - “invalid profile” error - ChromeBooks

Some students on ChromeBooks have been receiving the “invalid profile” error when they try to start a test that has LockDown Browser enabled on it. If you course copy a previous course containing enabled Respondus LockDown Browser tests over to your new course, you need to go into your new course and follow the steps below.

Once you have copied your previous course material over to your new course and the previous course material contain tests where you enabled LockDown Browser, you will need to follow the below steps:

Step 1 – In your new course, click on “View course & Institution tools”.

Step 2 – Click “LockDown Browser Dashboard”.

Step 3 – You will receive the below message letting you know that all of your test settings have been updated which means that any of your students who are using Chromebooks, will now be able to take any of your assessments that have Lockdown Browser enabled.
