Introduction
Adobe Express is a beginner-friendly, all-in-one design application for creating various content like social posts, images, videos, flyers, and single-page websites using templates and generative AI features. Available on both desktop and mobile, it offers a free plan with basic tools and a Premium plan for advanced features, templates, and more AI capabilities. Its tools allow users to edit media, resize images and videos, convert file formats, and even create QR codes.
Licensing/Access
As of August 25, 2025, RIC employees who have been provided a license that is assigned to their RIC account for Adobe Creative Cloud and/or Adobe Acrobat has access to the Premium version of Adobe Express. If you are a RIC employee and would like access to Adobe Express please contact helpdesk@ric.edu to request access.
RIC students do not have access to the full version at this time. Students can access the free version using their RIC SSO/M365 login credentials. The exception is any student enrolled in Art, Film, or Communications classes that have an Adobe Creative Cloud license assigned to them will also receive the Premium version of Adobe Express.

This section is expected to be revised in late September 2025 when the college's agreement with Adobe is renewed, and changes to our Adobe licensing occurs.
Installation/Use
Adobe Express is a primarily a web based application and service, that can be used from a web browser. While most current web browsers are supported, we recommend using the latest versions of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge for the best experience.
Adobe Express is available at https://new.express.adobe.com/.
For those that wish to use Adobe Express on a mobile device such as a tablet or phone, a free app is available from the Apple App Store and Google Play Store for Adobe Express.

When logging into Adobe Express for the first time, you are brought to the Adobe Express home page. From here you can create new projects and browse previous ones saved in the "Your Stuff" location. Templates are available from the main page to quickly start new design projects.

Learn
Adobe provides a large number of self-paced videos to get familiar with the Adobe Express interface and tool set. The best place to start is to select Learn from the left toolbar, and then select Getting Started section located here:

Additional topics in categories are listed at the top of the page. These include topics such as Design, Video, Photography, etc. They cover all of the different types of projects that can be created with the assistance of Adobe Express. Topics usually include both a text based article, and a video. Some more in depth articles are longer and do not include a video.
