This article aims to explain how to use the Samson lapel microphone provided in the classroom. It provides steps for turning on, using, and turning off the microphone.

Turning on the Microphone

1. Press and hold the power button until the light turns green
2. Use the microphone and belt clips to secure the device in place

Using the Microphone

1. The microphone should come clearly through the speakers once it is on and secured in place 
2. To mute the microphone, tap the power button so the light turns red 
3. To unmute the microphone, tap the power button so the light turns green
4. If the light is flashing green, the batteries are running low. Please inform the ITS Help Desk by emailing helpdesk@ric.edu or calling 401-456-8803

Turning off the Microphone

1. Press and hold the power button until the green light turns off
2. Place the microphone back where it was found
