Creating Journals with AI Design Assistant in your courses.
1. To create a Journal in your course, you must first click on the plus sign on your main content page then click "Create."

2. Choose the Journal option in the course content item options, to the right of the page.

3. Choose the "Auto-Generate Journal" option.

4. Choosing the auto generate option opens the screen below. From here you can look at the initial journal topic suggestions generated by the AI. These suggestions come from your course content.
Auto Generate also allows instructors to:
a. Enter their own content into the description box to narrow the focus of the journal.
b. Select specific course content items such as assignments or online articles to generate different journal topic ideas.

5. Instructors have the option to select the level of complexity for the topics they want the AI to generate (see below).

6. The AI results generated for your course Journal will depend on what type of tasks you want your students to focus on. Choose from one of the suggested AI journal topics, and once you’ve finalized your journal settings, select "generate." Review your chosen AI results for accuracy and bias. Choose the journal topic you’d like to add to your course, then select "add." Remember, once you've put the AI suggestion into your course content page, you can edit any of the suggestions to fit your needs.
