Create Adaptive Release: Advanced Rules

The Adaptive Release: Advanced Rules option allows you to create one or more rules to release information to a specific students(s). For example, let’s say you want to release the Week 3 folder now to one student and then release the Week 3 folder to all of the students after a specific date and time. The steps below show you how to complete this task.

1. Hover over your Week 3 folder and click the down arrow.

2. Select Adaptive Release: Advanced

3. Click Create Rule.

4. Click Submit.

5. Hover over Create Criteria and then select Membership.

6. Click Browse.

7. Click the down arrow to the right of Contains and select Not Blank.
8. Click Go.

9. You should now see a list of all of your students.
10. Select your student.
11. Click the Submit button.
12. Click the Submit button.

13. Your Rule 1 has been created.

14. In the navigation up top, click Adaptive Release: Advanced.
15. Now you need to create your second rule.

16. Click Create Rule.

17. Hover over Create Criteria and then select Date.

18. Select a date for all your students to see the week 3 folder. Select a Display After date.
19. Hover over Create Criteria and then select Membership.

20. Click Browse.

21. Click the down arrow to the right of Contains and select Not Blank.
22. Click Go.

23. Scroll down and click the Show All button.

24. Click the Select all button to select all of your students.
25. Click Submit.
26. Click Submit.

27. Your second Rule has been created.
28. Now the first rule will allow your one student to have access to the Week 3 folder now and then Rule 2 will allow all of your students to have access to Week 3 after the day and time you set for the Display After option.
