Blackboard Ally WYSIWG Accessibility

Ally allows you to improve the accessibility of “What You See is What You Get”, or WYSIWYG, content within the Document pages you build in Blackboard Ultra.

1. In a new Document page, click "Add content":

 Add Content button with a red border around it and the three other buttons are Upload from Computer, Upload from Cloud Storage and Browse Content Collection.

2. Begin entering content into the rich content editor:

3. The Ally accessibility score will pop up in the Document page header as you type. Click the score indicator:

4. Ally will highlight any accessibility issues throughout the Document page:

In the Ally in-browser document view, the words with insufficient color contrast have a red box around them.

5. Details about each issue are listed in the feedback panel to the right. Within the feedback panel, you may make corrections and apply them to all occurrences of an issue:

6. After making your selections, click “Apply”:

7. You may also click “All issues” next to the Ally score to see a full list of accessibility issues:

8. The Ally score will update in real time as you resolve accessibility issues. Click “Close” when you are finished:

The accessiblity score is displaying 100% along with the words Perfect! You have successfully improved the contrast of this item.

9. Your corrections will not be applied to the Document page until you slick “Save” below the rich content editor:
