Enabling Kaltura Collaboration
There are times when you have an audio or video file that you want to share with another faculty member. Perhaps, you are teaching different sections of the same course. This is an easy to use feature embed within Kaltura.
1. You can access this feature via the Tools section on your Blackboard main page.
Then click on the Kaltura - My Media option.

2. Once you get to your list of Kaltura videos , the option to share or "collaborate" will not appear until you click on the check boxes next to each video you want to share.
3. After you click on the videos you want to share, the option to share will appear in the 3 dots menu next to where it says "more actions."

4. Once you click on the 3 dots, click on the "add/remove collaborators" option.

5. Add an instructor by typing their last name, If their name does not appear then use their Faculty ID number; found on their ID card instead of instructor name. Choose whether they can only View the video, Edit (Can modify the file before Publishing in their class), or Publish (Can only publish the file in their class). Once you select their access, click on Add and the other user will automatically have access to that video.
NOTE: You retain control of your media file. If you delete it from Kaltura, then your collaborator loses access as well.

How Collaborators see your media
Once you have added a user to your media file it will automatically be added to the My Media area of their Blackboard courses. The media file that you have shared with another instructor should automatically appear in their My Media. If for some reason the file is not visible, have them click on the Ownership option and filter through the options below that. This will filter out the videos depending on the option they choose.
