Per the Online Learning Policy, faculty members must complete the Blackboard Professional Development offered by the Center for Instructional Technology in order to be scheduled to teach fully online or hybrid courses. Required Professional Development Topics:
- Getting Started with Blackboard (Creating Dynamic Content)
- Communicating with Students
- Assignments, Inline Grading, and Rubrics
- Creating Online Tests
- Mastering the Gradebook
- Accessibility – Ally & Kaltura.
This professional development course is delivered asynchronously in Blackboard, allowing participants to work at their own pace. The estimated completion time is approximately 7-8 hours.
