About This Service

This service is to request an upgrade to your computer. This will go through an approval process which is determined by which model machine you have now and the allotment that the Help Desk has. We go through the campus on a scheduled basis upgrading offices through the year. The life cycle of machines on campus go from student labs to faculty and staff offices. 

To find the current model machine you have please look right above the CD Tray. Rhode Island College is a dell shop and most desktops on campus will be an Optiplex #. See below for an example. Optiplex 7010 is written above the CD and next to the Power button. 

To Find the service tag of the machine look on top of the computer and you will see a sticker that says Service Tag: (example: 8VY76G)
